Permanent Hair Removal At Home: Hairy DIY

Many people prefer to go for permanent hair removal at home. This is because when it comes to hair removal, people pay a lot of importance to two factors: their privacy, for obvious reasons, and the fact that the hair removal should be permanent, so that they do not have to go through the ordeal of visiting the hair clinic again and again.

It may also be possible that time or money places constraints on their visiting a hair clinic, so they want to do it at home. However, if you are opting for permanent hair removal at home, then you should be aware that only electrolysis would work – nothing else – and that you cannot be using laser devices at home because they need a trained specialist to work with.

Permanent Hair Removal At Home: Negative Factors

Here are certain factors you must consider before going in for permanent hair removal at home: Professional equipment is very expensive and a brand new permanent hair removal device can cast thousands of dollars, so you are better off using affordable and easy to use devices. An internet search can provide you with more information on devices you can use at home.

If a permanent DIY hair removal unit does not have a needle then do not buy it as it most likely has not been proven. Electrolysis is not recommended at home unless you have only a small number of hairs to remove. Even then, it consumes time, is a difficult process, and you will most likely end up damaging your skin.

Want to Go Ahead?

If despite the negatives you still want to do permanent hair removal at home, here are some tips: Figure in the comfort first: comfortable chair, comfortable work area, table nearby, mirror access. If your hair removal unit does not have the best tweezers, then you must consider buying a better set of tweezers.

The area should be well lit and if you have a lot of hair to remove, then keep a battery charger or spare batteries handy. Ensure that the needle does not pierce the skin – it should slide into the hair follicle. Before you start, you must clean yourself thoroughly and sterilize all the tools that you are about to use.

Moisturize the area to be worked upon thoroughly. Also drink a whole lot of water to ensure that your skin too is moisturized. To get a hang of electrolysis, try it on your face first – it is less painful on the face.

Lastly, read a thorough guide on DIY electrolysis, because if you do not, you may end up damaging your skin.
