Kudos to the Coffee and Tea Maker

Even on the hottest day of the year, a good cup of coffee or tea is appreciated. Cold versions are refreshing and all, but that hot, steaming cup of stimulating coffee or comforting tea holds a special place in the heart. Even better than drinking it is having someone or something to make it for you. So, thanks to every coffee and tea maker everywhere.

Cold Days

Anytime you enter your home or office with a face all red from a blustery day, the coffee and tea maker becomes your guardian angel. The hot drink is really good because it warms you from the inside out while the steam gently returns the heat and hydration to your nose and cheeks. Remove your gloves before you begin. Those fingers get pretty chilly too. It doesn’t have to be winter to have a blustery day feeling. A cold, dark fall day, especially when it comes after a few days of sunshine, can get you running to your coffee and tea maker for comfort and support. And don’t get me started on those cold, soaking rains that only start when you’re not ready for them.

Spring time can be just as bad. A bright sunny day soon after the miserable winter can be very misleading. A warm breeze can tempt you to extend your walk even while there’s still some snow left from the worst of the drifts. When you finally duck into your kitchen or a snack shop, all you want to see is your favorite coffee and tea maker. As for hot, steamy summers, it seems that, the worse the heat wave is, the lower the temperature gets in offices, stores and restaurants. I don’t know how anyone can get through August without a good coffee and tea maker at the ready.

Cold Nights

Of course, any time of the year can bring a cold night. I mean, it’s not night if the sun is out. Nights are more easily enjoyed with a hot, fresh-brewed cup of your favorite blend between your hands. Whether you’re indoors during a winter blizzard or enjoying a breeze in a springtime garden, night is the time to commune with your coffee and tea maker. You don’t have to be feeling cold to enjoy the flavor and satisfaction of a cup of tea or coffee, of course, but cold is the feeling that brings out the longing for a seemingly life-saving serving of the steamy stuff. And on a hot, humid, uncomfortable day, you can still sip a cup of coffee or tea and dream of the cooler times you’ll be spending with your coffee and tea maker.
