Even on the hottest day of the year, a good cup of coffee or tea is appreciated. Cold versions are refreshing and all, but that hot, steaming cup of stimulating coffee or comforting tea holds a special place in the heart.

Scientific research on coffee’s health effects has taken a new turn recently. It appears that the image of coffee beverage as a culprit is changing now to one of an innocent drink. Coffee’s main ingredient, caffeine, is notorious for being an addictive stimulant. Now some positive effects are being seen so as to balance the health risks associated with coffee.

The history of coffee cake is usually traced back to the 17th century Europe. Prior to that, coffee had not reached Europe so no coffee cake can be thought of before the 1760s. Today, the great variety of coffee cakes even makes it difficult to choose the best one for breakfast or brunch.

Many people find it extremely depressing to drink coffee in an inadequate coffee cup. In fact, I know many people who would actually refuse to drink even the best of best coffee it if it was served in poor quality cups.
